The Ribble Valley represents quaint villages and stunning countryside views, but it is also home to some of the UK's best food and drink. The Ribble Valley Food Trail, launched in 2008, puts on show areas producers and restauranteurs. A collection of wonderful foods- meat from traditional Lancashire farmers, organic dairy produce, hand designed chocolates, pastries and a feast of vegetables and fruitcan be found at shops and restaurants along the borough's quaint narrow roads and in its historic towns and villages such as Longridge and Clitheroe.

An independent team comprising food and tourism experts and editors from throughout Ribble Valley put together the trail, which features restaurants, inns, shops and delicatessens for food enthusiasts to follow by all methods of transport. Outlets showcased on the trail were selected for their dedication to local produce, high quality grub and excellent care for their customers.
